Anyone have Monday off and interested in a run? I was thinking Sevenmile if it's open (if someone could update us on it I would appreciate it), If it is closed and anyone has any ideas of where to go I'm up for anything. I'm thinking somewhere from Boulder to Fort Collins but if near Idaho Springs or Colorado Springs works better I'd be fine with that.

It shouldn't be. It was bladed after the floods. I've been on it since and was thinking I could _almost_ take my car on it (with due care in a few spots). Enjoyable in a jeep. Go!

The run organizer and those looking to go will hash out a meeting spot here in "planning". It's always nice to meet at a location that has cell service (those running late might call, should they have a number).
For trails up the Poudre Canyon / Highway 14, meeting either at some location in Fort Collins (the King Soopers at the north end of Fort Collins is good) or at "Ted's Place" which is about nine miles north of Fort Collins, where highway 14 heads west and into the canyon (not the 14/287 intersection in downtown Fort Collins).
Both locations have ample parking, a gas station / convenience store, and cell service.

I might be able to go. If it was a little further south it would probably be easier for me. I always do late night closings at my work so getting enough sleep is tough. I'll keep you guys posted. I have a friend with a stock 04 tacoma trd off road, do you think he would be able to do it?

You can do Sevenmile. I did it in my MJ when it was stock so you should be fine.

Glad nothing is set in stone I'll look around and see what we can do more down near Boulder. That'd be less of a drive for all of us anyways.
I'll make sure to find a trail everyone can do. My truck isn't too modified so you guys don't need to worry about a hard trail:)
I'll do my best to plan accordingly so everyone who wants to come out can. The more people the better.

sevenmile is still closed as far as i know. i generally closes for the spring runoff. this year it closed due to people tearing it up when it was muddy earlier in the year. i will pass by there sunday and will be able to tell you if its open or not. ran pole hill last weekend and its pretty easy. i ran 95% of it in 2wd

Says it's still closed on one of the websites. So don't worry about it Alex but I appreciate you offering to look into it for us.
Lets do Miller rock. Looking through my Northern Colorado back roads book it looks like it shouldn't be anything we can't handle.
I'll post up the run in the calendar tonight so if anyone is opposed or feels it might be too hard can speak up before I do so.

Great I'm glad your friend can tag along with us. And you are one step ahead of me that's what I was thinking for the meeting place too.:)
