...but what I have been working consistently on recently, hence not as much on the site.

This is my dad's 1969 K10 pickup (4wd version of the C10).
350 V8 with 4 speed manual tranny, long bed, all original.

My dad has owned it 17 years and hasn't driven it in 5 or 6 years. That required a LOT of work to get it road worthy again.

I think the truck is almost all original, except the seat has been re-upholstered, the radio is aftermarket (but not cut into the dash, and the original radio is included), and the rear bumper is aftermarket. No power steering, no power brakes. I don't think these were even options on the 4wd version for 1969.

Replaced all the brake components on all 4 wheels... 4 new drums, all new shoes, all new wheel cylinders, new hardware kit for front brakes. Brand new master cylinder and bled with fresh fluid through entire system.

Removed the distributor, changed the oil/filter, primed the oil pump, checked to make sure oil was going to each valve (removed valve covers). New valve cover gaskets. Changed coolant, both radiator hoses, and heater hoses. New battery ground wire, new positive terminal, replaced battery.

Tested the mechanical fuel pump, removed and replaced fuel tank with a nearly new one, replaced the sections of rubber fuel lines, replaced in-carb fuel filter, added inline fuel filter before the pump. Replaced vacuum line. Fresh fuel, and it started right up. :)

Changed transmission fluid, rear diff fluid, rear u-joint straps. Vacuum, cleaned, road ready, and passed emissions on the first try!!! Runs and drives like a champ. I found some records for it in the glove box from the previous owner. I think it has seen less than 8,000 miles in over 20 years and shows just shy of 43,000 miles on the odometer.

Look for it shortly on the For Sale section!

Cool trucks sooooo simple! If your ever I'm the market, 90's 3/4 ton Saburbans are a pretty easy swap. We did the as a class project. Glad to see another old one on the road

My dad won't be keeping this one. It runs like a top, but he just doesn't drive it. Time to pass it on to someone else. I got the task of making it road worthy. I tried to go through absolutely everything that I thought might pose an issue. Replaced it if in doubt.
