This is my dad's 1969 K-10 pickup (4wd version of the C10). He has finally decided to part with it.

350 V8 350 with 4 bbl carb and 4 speed manual transmission on the floor, long bed, all original.

My dad has owned it 17 years and hasn't driven it in 5 or 6 years. I have completed all the needed maintenance to make it road worthy again.

I think the truck is almost all original, except the seat has been re-upholstered, the radio is aftermarket (but the dash was not cut, and the original radio is included), and the rear bumper is not original. No power steering, no power brakes. Apparently these were not even options on the 4wd version for 1969. This was a plain simple model with no frills, except the V8 and the 4WD. Original wood bed, but needs refinished. Has all the original badging on fenders.

Recent work and parts:

-All new brakes including master cylinder, all new wheel cylinders, all new brake shoes, all new drums, and new hardware for front brakes. Brakes completely drained and bled with new fluid. Brakes work just as good as new including e-brake.
-3 year old battery, new (-) cable, new (+) terminal
-Used but fairly new fuel tank and pickup installed, new rubber fuel line sections, new in-line fuel filter, new in-carb fuel filter. Existing fuel pump tested good.
-Oil change with new filter, oil pump primed, new valve cover gaskets, ignition timing set.
-Rear differential fluid change, transmission fluid change
-New radiator hoses, new heater hoses, antifreeze change. Cooling system works great.
-Air filter checked
-Tire pressure checked, tires still have 80% tread, no dry-rot, but are over 15 years old.
-Fan belt checked
-New vacuum line
-New rear u-joint straps
-New Goodyear wiper blades

Extra parts included, but not installed:
-Original radio
-Replacement grille (front has minor dent around driver headlight)
-Partial components to add air conditioning (evaporator and housing)
-Extra tail light
-Extra headlight ring
-Original canister oil filter parts
-Extra heater controls (much better shape)
-Extra horn?
-Extra part of the wiring harness?
-4 original hubcaps (probably came from a 2wd as they only fit the rear wheels due to the 4wd hubs)
-Brand new spark plug wire set
-Brand new rebuild kit for the 4 bbl carb
-Brand new intake manifold gasket set
-Extra factory dash speaker?

Manuals - I have a printed copy of the original factory service manual, a digital copy on CD of the original service manual, and a Haynes manual. They all go with the truck.

Runs and drives like a champ. I found some records for it in the glove box from the previous owner. I think it has seen less than 8,000 miles in over 20 years and shows just shy of 43,000 miles on the odometer. It isn't clear if the 43,000 is the original miles or not. Receipts will be provided for the recent parts installed. This truck has been unmolested, and is a great candidate for a restoration.

Includes BRAND NEW emissions test. Passed on first try with no problem. Buyer will receive a copy to submit for registration. Get the Collector License Plates and never need another emissions test! Clear title in my dads name, and he is ready to sign it over to the lucky buyer.

Price is $7,000 for FR4x4 members in cash only. Don't miss an opportunity to own a fine rare classic truck!

Here is a link to the "build" thread of the work that I did with plenty of photos. Attached to this thread are pics of a lot of the extra parts.

Pics of the better heater controls. The ones currently in the truck work, but the face has no marks on it. It is all worn out. This one is in much better shape, and includes spare cables. Also has the control option for the AC.

Got pics of the radiator grille, A/C evaporator, factory radio and Haynes manual. Includes a copy of the factory service manual as well (no pics).

The truck will need the steering knuckle seals replaced at some point, and the 140w gear oil changed in the knuckles at the same time. I bought the seal kits, but have not gotten around to changing the seals. New seals go with the truck.

Just listed on Ebay a few moments ago, price reduced to $6,950.

I had some requests for some video, so I posted it on Youtube so that anyone could watch it.

Any interest in a trade for a 46 CJ2a? :)

Thanks for the offer, but my dad doesn't have a need for a CJ. He has been hesitant to sell the truck. Mom says he can't get any more vehicles. Too many other projects and vehicles that need work.

They had 8 vehicles as of last week and only two of them was running, including the Chevy. I think he repaired 2 of the others so now he is batting .500.

Truck is still available. It started having clutch problems in September. Rather than sell someone a truck that would need work, I started the clutch job. Still working on it, but it will soon have a brand new clutch and tranny/t-case fluids changed. Will also replace the engine rear main seal when I do the clutch.

I removed the post from CL when it started having the clutch problems. Anyone interested, let me know before I post it on CL again.

Clutch is back in, all new oil in the transmission and t-case. I put in a new flywheel, pilot bushing, throw-out bearing, pressure plate, and disc. Basically if it could be replaced, I just went ahead and did it. Started it up tonight, but didn't have a chance to drive it yet.

Yesterday I took the time to replace the front knuckle seals and felts. The old seals/felts had lost all the oil. Cleaned things up best they can be for the age. Filled knuckles with the correct SAE 140 gear oil.

Pics of the brake work that was done last Summer. Only about 50 miles on all new brakes.

Thanks. I hope it finds a good home too. It was hard for my dad to let it go. I think that is partly why he is having me sell it for him.
