We left Ouray just after 9 AM and headed up Red Mountain pass. It was sunny. The weather forecast said 60% chance of rain and we were concerned about doing Black Bear in the rain. Luckily it was dry. Though Black Bear is touted as the deadliest pass in Colorado it is really quite easy. One just needs to focus and not let themselves get distracted.

Imogene starts as a long shelf road. There are tons of old major mining complexes on this route. As well as tons of flowers.

Got back into Ouray about 5:30 PM after stopping by Box Canyon Falls. Then headed to Montrose for the night

Tom, @ 3:24 in the Black Bear vid you have no footage of you going through the tight downhill spot? I was hoping to see that section.

I ran it once it a downpour, a ranger was sitting above the one-way section talking to drivers before going down. I saw a couple trucks turn around after talking to him.
