There is never a dull moment in this town of Longmont. Yesterday there was a man hunt for a guy who pulled a pellet rifle, yes you read that correctly, on police officer's after getting pulled over. And this afternoon, I was taking a break and noticed a bunch of police cars parked all over. Looked out front and saw that they were serving a warrant across the street. Lovely...

You just never know.

A couple years ago, right in our quiet rural Berthoud neighborhood where "nothing happens", a man was murdered at a house 1/2 mile from mine and his body dumped in Wyoming. A drug business dispute, the homeowner and two other men were convicted.

Sorry to hear of the problems. Unfortunately, this is a common occurrence at that residence and another a couple houses down. Drugs and bad living situations have taken their toll on the people who spend time there. Really sad especially when most of the other properties in the area are getting redone. And young families are moving into the area.
