wow...treasure hunting would be so much fun! but after reading a few articles on these guys, it's crazy to see how consumed they are by it. one commenter noted that Fenn underestimated the power of greed when he wrote the poem/hid the treasure. he effectively is ruining people's lives.

Who's up for an adventure?? If an 80 yr old man can place a 42lb chest at this location, then I'm sure (pretty sure) I could get to it. Funny how the guy in the article thought an 80yr old man could repel down a cliff with a 42lb chest though.

Kicked in the afterburners on take off?
I may have to spend some time reading this poem and doing some looking. I love it.

haha, Brian...there's actually a crazy-huge following around this guy's treasure and there is a LOT of misdirection given throughout the search. apparently, these guys all pretend to work together to figure out clues, but then they give each other false info to throw others off the trail.

Chad I am up to search with you.
Would be fun for sure. I'll have to work on it a little bit and see if I come with any ideas. If it's around here, then hopefully it was somewhere the floods didn't get ahold of it!!

Precisely why I wouldn't even waste my time looking through what other people are saying.

Wow, it's only $2 million? I'll spend my time in line for lotto tickets. Much safer and less of a hassle for about the same odds

And much less of that "thinking" nonsense. Hardest part about lotto is remembering to check your damn numbers.........
