Overwatering? :)

I grew up in Brooklyn / Staten Island, and got to enjoy the world's largest garbage dump, the Fresh Kills Landfill. It was 3 times the size of Central Park and got all the garbage from NYC from the 40s through 2001. We could tell when our neighbors went to New Jersey because their cars would be covered in seagull poop from driving past the dump. The street sweeping trucks would spray pine scent on the streets to combat the stench, the trash pile is the highest point on the island, but the worst of it all was the Arthur Kill waterway. It goes between Newark bay and Raritan bay, with the Staten Island dump on one side and a section of New Jersey known as the Chemical Coast on the other. It was a steady flow of garbage barges and tugboats when I was growing up, and to keep it navigable it was dredged annualy, so the sediment was put back into the water. It is one of the most disgusting places on earth. At 45 seconds or so you can see a hill- that is the landfill, it has many layers of fabrics and dirt over it now, they're trying to make it like Rocky Flats, but it still emits tons of toxic fumes and leeches contaminates into the water.

The Arthur Kill itself was and is used as a marine graveyard / dump. The first video is a drone flying over it. The second one is some guys from New Jersey in a jet boat exploring it.

Nice vids!

Drones are getting good use as video platforms.

(kicking to chat as they're not 4x4 related)

I'm surprised the Osprey didn't kill the drone, actually disappointed it didn't try. In the second video you can see the pile of bones near it's nest at about 8:00.
