Now keep your eyes ont this segment in the next few years.
Cummins has contracted w/nessian and toyota to produce a 5.0l v8 deisel for the 1/2 ton market.
Numbers are not available in full yet but this should be a great engine and I am sure it will find its way into jeeps....

Have not seen the redesign yet.
But they signed the contract with cummins early in 2015.

Although not Jeep related, a Cummins 6bt is my dream engine swap for my landcruiser. It's done pretty regularly but it's out of my $ range.
