Well after 4 years i finally got around to putting my park break cables on after the 8.8 swap on my yj. Cable worked fine, but got reminded that the park break shoes were non existent, and now there was a small axle seal leak.

So now it has new axle bearings, seals, park brake shoes, and rotors, and i mights as well refresh the LSD and tighten it up.
The original LS did not work at all really, at least not on the trail.
Question is, where can i find a clutch pack kit locally, by Tuesday.
I called Ford dealer ship and its gona run around 250 for the pack and preload sping......might as well get a locker at that price.
My Car quest store, and Napa dont sell them.
I do have a used set fron a Bronco, is it worth adding a shim from that pack and keep my original pack with 160k
If it is stil in good condition?
Are the carbon fiber packs worth the swap/money?

Thanks in Advance!

Not sure where you can source the parts locally, but I wonder if you can find some used parts at a salvage yard? They would be cheaper, and if you can visually inspect them, you might find good parts?

Ford used to have a TSB/SSM on rear limited. Haad shims in the pack.
Talk to a Ford service adviser and he could poss have the part kit info
Dont know about price.

from a vid on YouTube he states that .635 in considered lose im at .637
normal is .640-.645
high performance is around .655 or a little more.

I have used shims that measure .030. if I add that shim to get .667 will that be to tight?

Are there thinner shims? Can you drop in a .030 and pull out something like a .015?

Well that did not work.
The center pin does not have enough clearance between the axle shafts
