i've been out wood hacking today. and made some decent progress. Now it's really starting to look like something. And i'm even impressed by how big my overall platform is. I did have to take it down about 2" so that the dog could stand up and i can easily crawl in.

Lookin good Jon! When I get back I have to build one for my 55. Since I eliminated the back seat it will be full length and a bit deeper where the seat once folded down. I'm incorporating an open section where my cooler will drop inside right behind the seat for easy access. Probably throw a couple speakers on each side of that then have lots of storage and a sleeping platform.

BTW, I like the way you mounted your CB in an earlier post. That's where my new (your old) one is going to go on my 55. Any chance you can weld some mounting brackets for me? I'll be heading to the Springs for Marks 35's and will be in the neighborhood.

wow you're sounds almost identical to mine. great minds think alike right? Yeah welding up some mounts wouldn't be a problem at all. Just let me know what you're coming down and we'll get them done. :thunb:

I'm gonna have to check this out in person, I really want to do something with mine. Turning the back into a spot for Jess and I to sleep comfortably would be great! Plus I have the on board air idea.....
