Hey all. Just picked up a 1996 XJ for my daughter and a 2001 XJ for me. Hers has a 3" lift and mine is bone stock. I also have a 2000 F250 power stroke with a 6.5" lift on 37's. Wanted something smaller to go on more trails. The F250 has seen many of the trails around here but there are so many more that it's just too big for. That's why I decided on a Jeep.
I'm looking for ideas on what to do with the XJ. Nothing too extreme. Maybe a 4.5" with some 33's if they will fit. I just want something I can wheel on most trails and still be pretty reliable.
I'm a gas and diesel technician and have built numerous toys. From street cars, race cars and other off-road vehicles. Hope to talk to and wheel with some of you soon.

Welcome to FR4x4 man your jumping in the XJ world with both feet !! A 4.5 with 33's was the base on my XJ along with gears/lockers and you could do most trails with ease. There are quite a few XJ's owners on here just ask if you have any questions

Hey old man welcome back! Been a long time. I gave the Ranger to my son and bought a 78 bronco also a 2015 JK 4dr.
