Joe, Ryan and myself met up at 8am at the turn around.
We were the first one's on the trail. Made it to the shady section right before the creek crossing. The drift was very slippery and off camber. Joe gave it a try and we spent the next half hour rigging a solution to get him away from the tree. Turned around and went down to run Saran wrap. All was good a great day in the mountains, and of course good company always makes it better.
Lots of pics.

Hey Pathrat
You could do either trail no sweat and not break or scratch your rig. It is a cool trail.
Great pictures guys! I worked this last weekend for the hydraulic assist for my heap or island vacation. Sorry I didn't get to go. Nice that the trail was open, too!

Hmmm... any chance Joe's welded diffs contributed to him sliding off?
Thanks for sharing the pics! One day I'll get to run this one.

Being welded definately hurt Joes possibility of making it thru.
The temp in mountians was about 70. Very warm no wind, great day.
The trail isn't that hard, you can bypass most of the hard stuff.
How about that flex Aaron? I'll bet you wish your coils flexed like that!!LOL
A couple more pics that show better where Joe slid off.

Yes, you are right, I could do either. The question is, do I have the ability. I'll find out more about both this season. :) As far as scratches, too late! Have two nice dents too.

LOL You know it Jaime.. LMAO!!!
Path - it can be done with your rig and would be a fun time. I might wait till more snow melts though LOL

Wheee!!!!!!!! Lockers on off camber ice and snow....what fun! Someone will have to explain the physics of why a locked rig with everything turning and TRYING to go in a straight line, will tend to go sideways off the trail instead of straight. I have dealt with it on almost all the rigs I have ever had since they were all locked front and rear, but never figured it out. Anyone who has ever driven a rig that is locked in the front will tell you that you are constantly fighting the tendency to go straight...all the time.
And Pathrat, looking at some of the pictures of the trails that you have done, I would venture to say that you have more than enough ability to drive Eagle Rock and Saran Wrap and I don't think anyone here would disagree with me. Not to mention the fact that you are driving a very capable rig...capable right off the showroom floor, no less, not to mention any upgrades you have done....so there!
Icy trails are the one trail that LaDawn balks at. Anything else is fair game for her, but trying to get her to drive on an icy trail...HA! And if you read this, Sweetie, you know I'm right!

This whole thing is really funny!
I do not like snow and ice. Your LaDawn is smart! I have had my issues in snow and ice and the whole going straight thing on such surfaces. Innocent trees were involved.
(and thanks)
Back to the man of the post...GREAT PICTURES!

Why it happens I don't know, but they don't call'em low side finders for nothing. I have been so happy since ditching the lock-rights and going ARB. They ability to turn them off for just such occasions makes them worth every penny!
