I have one (front to), but its the wifes for her CJ. Ive been looking for some 60's for it (its on 38's), but I have to convince her first. Sorry ....

Good luck. I do have a line on one on Kansas(the guy is coming thru next month) that is in great shape I just have to be patient:D

I have a 1975 scout II rear axle that is 3:50s I believe, I will go look saturday morning, if this will help, I am saving for a project ,but , thats a couple years out. complete drum to drum , good seals and oil in housing, stored inside.

looks like I found the perfect axle....well except its 6 hours away in Kansas roadtrip!

Wow, a 12 hour road trip. I think I would figure something else out. The fuel cost could almost buy you a new set of gears!

I agree on rule cost, unless you damages the housing you will be upside down to to get an axle.
Gears are not that expencive, and you can get the right set.
Seting them up in a bit of work but if you take your time research it, call club mechanics as well with questions you will have a good set installed and done right for less than a road trip to Kansas for an axle!

Get a new pinion nut as well so when you put the thing together it is done right, a rebuild set would be smart as well seeing as you had chunks in there.
New bearing and gears in all around $300

Either that or see if you can talk to this guy to either buy the axle or the entire rig for cheap.

Well the thing is he can deliver for free I just have to wait until next month. That craigslist ad in the springs is new I did send him a message Thanks Jeff.

I'm pretty sure there's a set here in Denver on CL. just search for Jeep in the auto parts. I think the guy had them pulled for a CJ...

So I have a axle thats coming in a few weeks but I still on the look out for spares now. Thanks for the link to craigslist!
