Looking for a simple (cheap) transmission jack - the T14-D18-warnOD set-up on my jeep comes in around 300lbs and that seems a bit too much for me to muscle around.

Be open to borrowing one for a rental fee as well.

thanks - James

Unlikely but have you tried an autoparts store? I know a lot of them rent out tools and that's usually what i do when I need something specific I'll only use once. I'm not sure if they rent out jacks and stuff like that though...

I'm in the Springs, so it's a bit of a drive, but I have one rated up to 400 pounds. It's yours for as long as you need it at no charge.

I have two, the basic low profile Harbor Freight one, and one that fits on the end of a floor jack. I'm in Denver near Sloans Lake, you can borrow either or both.

Thanks for the offers. Will start with Paul since he is local. Let me know what would be the easiest way to borrow...I am near Yale and I-25 and work in ken caryl. Be happy to drive to sloans lake.

Thanks.

I guess I'm going to piggy back on this tread. I'm looking for a transmission jack as well for my Bronco. It is an AOD transmission. Doesn't weight much more than a couple hundred pounds. I can lift it and carry for very short distances.
