Hi everyone! I came across this forum via a Facebook post about the Colorado 4x4 Rescue and Recovery group. This group seems very inclusive and active, which is something I've been looking for.
My history includes a '72 GMC Jimmy with coil springs and 3/4 ton axles, a '78 Scout II with a Cadillac 472 engine, SOA, 37" MTR's, 3/4 ton axles and a Detroit locker, a '97 Jeep Cherokee with a custom 4" lift (hybrid rear springs & JK front control arms), 33's & a rear locker, an '04 v8 Grand Cherokee, which took me over a lot of Poison Spyder in Moab, but never got any custom work before the transmission failed, then a '93 Land Cruiser with factory lockers a small coil spacer lift and 33's.
Currently I own an '04 4Runner Limited with a v8, which I'm enjoying stock very much since I purchased it 3 months ago.
I'm not a winter wheeler so my trip in this vehicle so far has been a run through Rampart Range a couple of weekends ago. That ended with a trip up the rougher trail to the right side of Moab Hill, which was difficult for my completely stock 4Runner on worn out street tires, but I like a challenge. My 18 yr old daughter was also with me on that trip with her '07 Jeep Liberty and she also made it through that side trail, which I found impressive for it being only her 2nd time 4wheeling.
Besides 4wheeling, my family and I enjoy camping, hiking, mountain biking and generally just being in the mountains.
Oh and my real name is JD :-)
