I need to pick a easy trail that my Son in law can run their stock Ford Expedition on Thursday. Only thing done to it is a size larger A/T tire.
Any suggestions?

Loch Lomund - We did this trail as a maiden voyage in our stock 08 Grand Cherokee after buying it.

A fun combo for stockers is West Magnolia starting at the south side by Rollinsville; at the top it lets out across the street from Magnolia which is a long dirt road that leads to Gross Reservoir. West Magnolia and Gross Reservoir are easy and fun, very little trouble to get into and no clearance issues. There is a fun hill on West Magnolia too that is better south to north.

Johnny's park is my go to. Only one obstacle that's any challenge at all and our 31's step up on it no problem. Other than that, Switzerland trail. It's an old railway bed so no off camber or big obstacles. Be sure to air down though, it's bumpy as all get out.

Switzerland Trail/Sugarloaf Trail. Minivan friendly but awesome views. Offshoots if you need more excitement.

Thanks guys for the input. I just took a look at the size of their tires and they are the same size I have on my Jeep and about the same ground clearance so I think they can do at least a trail rated to a 4 possibly a 5. Brandon may bring the Ranger all depends how his knee is doing, he twisted it while hiking the Colorado trail.

We ended up doing Fall River and Chinns Lake and they did fine. It was great to be up in the hills for the 3rd day last week. Worst part of the whole trip was the skeeters. Brandon wanted to see what it was like with the tops off and he loved it especially we we went thru one of the muddy water holes and we had a wall of water come over the top and got the grandkids wet in the back seat. Also got a chance to figure out why one of my cameras wasn't recording videos which is all good now. Want to post videos but YouTube won't let me into the correct folder to up load them.

Was up at Chinns Lake on Wednesday and was beautiful, was a couple people camping up there but very few vehicles on the trail.

Cascade creek is relatively easy until you finish the loop down the rocks, That I would not consider that part of the trail something I'd take a beginner on with stock set-up.
