Glen Haven roadwork opening - US34 to close for work this Oct

From Drake to Glen Haven, it's been open but under construction for some time. Much of it is gravel. I guess it's now paved (I was through there a month back and I'd be surprised if it was "done"). Perhaps I should drive to Estes tonight to see.

The article says US-34 around Drake will have roadwork in August with more in Oct.

34 will be closed starting in October for 9 months.

I rode to Glen Haven last evening. Eastbound is fully top coat paved. Westbound is "mostly" top coat paved though there's a 2 mile stretch nearing Glen Haven that has only base coat. Much of it is finish painted with shoulders. Good progress!
