I thought i had read some where that late Cj's and early Yjs can share doors?
I can be totally wrong though

I think you are right. The CJ7 hardtop fits on the YJ. I am the wrong person to confirm though.

Newer CJ doors and YJ doors are the same. The ones in this ad are older CJ doors and not always compatible, so if you are interested, test fit them first for a newer CJ or YJ.

You can tell by the door handles, the ones that fit the later model CJ's and YJ's have the paddle door handles.
