Had some time this weekend, put this together using the mighty Harbor Freight 90amp flux core welder. I don't care what anyone says, I love that little buggermaker. :thumb:

The build explains itself, and it passed the drop test... or a drop test I should say, there's still one more.

Nice job! The little HF 90amp did what it needed to. BTW, I have several extra seats available to anyone who wants to build one.

I bought the seat at the Home Depot, it's a commercial seat... I was surprised that there is a commercial / private version of a toilet seat, but it's pretty tough compared to the civilian version and came with two heavy L-bolts moulded into plastic mounts that look durable. Another guy shopping plumbing at the Home Depot suggested I wouldn't have to lift the seat to pee since it has an open front. And that's just one reason why you never sit down in a public restroom. :thumb:

So, one Q: What will be "the receptacle" for the refuse? Are you planning to slide under it (have the frame hold) a 5-gal bucket with a plastic bag inside? Dig one large hole for "direct burial"?

Both, Jim, depending on where we are. Cat holes are acceptable except by a river, and if you want a surprise read the last paragraph about peeing in the river:
