Hey guys,
My wife wants to run Barbour fork this Monday, kind of a spur of the moment thing.
Issue is we are going to run solo in her jeep, would love to have another vehicle to accompany us in case of issues that may arise, as well as meeting someone from the group.
Its always best to run more than one vehicle in this situation if anyone is interested.

Should nobody be able to join in - some options coming across my mind:
1) Grab a copy of the rescue list to have on hand and go solo and enjoy a nice day out.
and/or
2) Each of you drives a vehicle (sig line shows two). Take both on the trail - OR - park one at the trailhead that would be your backup.

I like Jim's second idea a lot. Worst case scenario you have to walk a couple miles out to a vehicle. Its a relatively short loop so your never that far from the TH. At the same time, with modern vehicle like the 2010 FJ, problems are relatively low probability especially if you don't go looking for them. Take the more conservative lines and enjoy a nice day on the trail without other people. My wife and I are often 30-50 miles from anywhere in my solo Taco exploring Utah trails and love it.

You could do like I did years ago and take a couple mountain bikes. Since it is a loop, either way it is downhill to civilization! Never had to put that plan into use, but it was good security for a longer loop when going solo.

You can allways set a time here to report back so we know you got out safe.
Wish i could make it

We have a thread for this as well... The Check-In Thread for when you head out alone

It's in "Members Only" as phone numbers would likely be listed and some folks don't wish to post phone numbers on an open-to-the-world website.

Good to hear Chris! Sorry you had to do it solo but all's well that ends well even if it's at the cost of a can of paint!
