Hey guyz long time no post from me! First of I like to say Welcome to all the new faces https://www.facebook.com/images/emoji.php/v6/f4c/1/16/1f642.png If you stop reading after this point no harm no foul but as the new year appoarches I will be looking for a new rig/overlander. I'm looking for something that can host 4 people in the back country. My Top 4 prospect currently are Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - 4runner - Tacoma - Lexus GX 470. Pick something out of the box and just roll with it. I open to other options and build paths. But I am looking to stuff a 35in tire but a 33 would problay perfect for me. Ideally I am looking at just 4-7day trips. Most of the time it will be just me and my girlfriend. I still want something that as 4drs as work as I do tend to have family and other people in and out the durning the week. So with that all in mind what is out their? All I have ever driven have have been Jeeps so I would love to stay that way but I dont think the budget well alot it so yeah. I still do Marketing/Sales and I am still a travel agent so if anyone needs help with planning stuff let me know. Anyway looking at picking up something for the new year. Happy Saturday everyone!

PS: I am also moved up to Broomfield with the girlfriend.

so you had a TJ, and one point you had a JKU, right? I'm assuming both those rigs are gone?

The TJ was sold about a year ago now.

Not sure what happened to his JKU.

Been sence a early summer that I have heard from Brandon.

Last I saw him he was on cruches having an issue with his foot.

Brandon, glad you are back in the hobby.
There are some realy good 4 door rigs out there.
I think the Toyota 4 runner is your best option, mabey a tacoma 4 door as cargo is easier to load in a truck bed.

Thanks for the input man as of right now. My foot is still terrible but am able to limp around and get stuff done. An driving dosnt seem to have any effect on it so I going to to try and get back into swing of things. I figure overlanding is the best thing for since if I have too take a few months off of wheeling at least it won't cost me a truck done to have the rig sit. I kinda torn bewteen a Tacoma or 4runner both look great on paper!

The runners are nice but once you start trying to load them up it can be a bit of a PITA.
sorry to hear your foot is still in poor shape.
Sounds like surgery could be your only option.

So no hard core wheeling for it sounds like.

Yeah I have already had one surgery not looking forward to the next one if I need to get one. But hey its life right!

Yeah I dont wanna do any hardcore trails but I still wanna do most of the trail in colorado so am thinking a light build. Something like this picture. Is what I wanna build up too.
