Someone very close to me had a sudden emergency medical event early last week. She had successful surgery in Denver but is still in ICU and has a long recovery ahead.

All I want for Christmas is that she be able to come home and recover well, and that during this season of gifts we all remember the truly important gifts of life, health and the people we love.

Almost 12 months ago, my Mom was admitted to the hospital on an emergency basis. It took another 3 months to get her home again.

Anyway, I'm overdue for another visit.

Feeling for you, big time. Hoping for a quick and complete recovery, and a good Christmas season for both of you (and yours'), despite the medical stuff.

After nearly three weeks in ICU, my lady was discharged and went to a rehab hospital near me. She is progressing well and we are hopeful of a very good recovery.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers.
