Are there any areas about 6hours from Denver which are good for offroading. I am contemplating a New Years trip and was thinking Moab. Do you think that is do-able or not even worth the trip.
Thanks in advance
chris

Recent info from Moab; 9" of fresh snow in town.

Not mine. The owner lives in Moab and is a photographer by trade. http://www.perpetual-images.com/stock.htm

china wall in BV

to bad Saint George is the other side of the state.
rare to see snow, less people, and some sweet trails.
if you do decide the trip is worth it let me know, I have friends there that can be great guides

Moab is hit or miss on snow. but from the looks of that pic, it's probably not going to be gone by the time you get there.

last weekend it was dry.

Well here goes nothing. I'm going to Moab! Not sure what to expect, been there many times but never in winter and never with a 4x4 rig. If nothing else, im going to have fun. Happy new year everyone.

Good luck. Zion's reporting up to 2' of snow in their back country.

I've run a few Moab trails in the snow, really quite fun! Lots of tire squealing at low speed!

If the trails are sketchy stick to the easy ones. :thumb:

Arrived safe and did sevenmile rim. Super fun first trail. Only small patches of snow scattered in the brush. Only saw one person on the trail.
