I received a contact email from a lady named Carol P. Here is her message...

My LR4 is completely stuck in a gully with snow. I need someone with 4 locking tires, chains for their tires, and a wench to pull me out of the hole. I am in Golden (and the car is too). How can I contact your club to see if there is anyone out there who can help? There is snow coming Tuesday. AAA couldn't do it because they can't take their truck off road into the snow. There is a decent path to the car so someone with the above equipment should be fine. Help please.... :-)

Anyone nearby that could help? Reference posts from me, below, for more detail.

Since AAA wouldn't help, how far off the road is she? It sort of sounds like she just slid off the road, but then it also sort of sounds like maybe she intentionally drove offroad. I am a bit confused.

Personally I am close to Golden, and have the day off work, but just got a call that my sister-in-law is going into labor at University Hospital. I may be able to help, but certainly can't be in an all-day ordeal.

I just spoke with Carol (and have a phone number). The vehicle is on their property off of Hess Avenue. This is no emergency. They have help scheduled to remove the vehicle tomorrow at 10am but would like to get it tended today. She sent a video of the vehicle.

From my talking with her, the location seems to be somewhere about here:

Wow. I watched the video. I think the tractor was 4wd? Either way, the tractor wasn't able to pull it. My 4Runner would have a really hard time winching it without being able to attach to something sturdy. Best to have a full size rig with a winch. At least Brad's LR3 outweighs my 4Runner.

That and could know the vehicle. I got a full size Range Rover out of a ditch in deep snow at Michigan creek without a winch.

Just got a text that they got it out with a monster tractor that the neighbor has.

I was ready to offer a hand. My 12,000 winch pulls like an ox, but my 3,500lb 4Runner isn't a match for a larger rig that is stuck.

If my brother's fiance wasn't giving birth today, he could have brought his deuce. Looks just like this, including the HUGE winch.

When we get land in the mountains I want a deuce for a plow/work truck. :D

They make a crew cab deuce. They also make a dump truck deuce. Both are rare and more expensive. The troop carrier style is easily under $10k which is why my brother has one. Cheap, simple, and can get just about anything un-stuck.
