Heading to Moab - well actually Green River SP April 7-9 - and will be tent camping at the state park. Heading out afterwork on thurs, 4/6 and probably returning sunday evening 4/9. Will be meeting a friend with a TJ rubicon and running a couple trails on friday and saturday. Both of us are running 33s, but his TJ is a DD so he tries not to beat it up too much and I am trying NOT to break my old CJ these days, so we keep it mild to moderate (Fins n Things is nearing our limit). Of course, the CJ isn't actually running yet, so that might cause some issues. But even if its not running the Taco can get around a bit. I ran Black Dragon with the Taco a few years ago and been wanting to get back to it with the CJ.

If you are going to be in the area, drop us a line. We may be avoiding the Moab proper area as EJS is starting up that weekend, and we often do some other stuff as well as wheel. There are some cool trails (both 4wd and hiking) in the San Rafael swell area that we may check out, and we may make it to some trails north of moab. Sunday morning is usually reserved for some MTBing before heading home in the late afternoon, but its always open to change. Maybe even thinking of sticking around 1 more day and returning monday.

Should have plenty of Jeeps to share the trails with. :)

Yeah. I'll be out there to run Secret Spire and Chicken Corners with the Easter Jeep Safari in my blasphemous Suzuki Samurai on the 14th and 15th. Not sure where I'm camping yet.

Our intention was not to be there around EJS...but sometimes that is just the schedule that people can get off work and get together. I am not actually sure how much of EJS will be happening that weekend, as a lot of it will be the following weekend (14-16th) that DETN8R will be there. But I am guessing it could still be a bit crowded. We are staying up north in Green River and may play around the San Raf Swell, Molitor Butte, Copper Ridge areas to the north and west to avoid some of the crowds.

Heading out to Green River UT on Thurs - gonna spend out time in the San Raf Swell area of Emery county to avoid the moab crowds with EJS starting up. I have spent quite a bit of time wandering the swell and various slot canyons on foot both north and south of I-70 including a lot of the easy dirt road accessing trailheads, but only run one significant 4wd trail (Black Dragon - highly recommend). Wondering if anyone else has been on Devils Racetrack, Fix it Pass, Eagle Canyon etc? Some are pretty easy, mostly graded dirt roads, but Devils and Fix it seem pretty interesting and are in the same area as Black Dragon.

We'll be camping at Green River SP - if you're gonna be in the area drop me line. We'll probably run Black Dragon as its right out of Green river and has some cool archaeological stuff - and probably try Devils as it seems easier than Fix it.
