What a great time on the trail today! It was good to meet people on here in the real, rather than the virtual world. Thank you to the spotters, MikeM, SCRubicon and Jimmy and Brett. There were great rock moving skills demonstrated at one of our main obstacles. I did not spot, but my passenger/fiance took my rock stacking and returning duties for me, thanks Hugh! And, if you spotted Sean, my apologies. The help was much appreciated, I went home with all the metal parts intact.
Some of the highlights included the three man heave to prevent Sean's Rover from getting a new rocker panel vent, just in time for summer. MikeM made several attempts up the Lunchtime Boulder Field, and with persistence, got the glory. Jimmy went up the hill with a mission, to winch MikeM (who was at the midpoint of the hill) up the Big Hill. Jimmy took a rock for a ride while coming down the Big Hill. Steve made some really cool loud noises while going over the rock named Big Meany. The line he took is now shiny along the top edge. And one of us got cake. Lowlights included a blown tire bead and Steve's purple knee. It will be purple tomorrow.
Here are a few highlights. To see all 49 pictures, here is the link to my photobucket album of the trip:
