Not sure if this is where to post this...apologies if it's in the wrong spot. Does anyone that lives in the area have any idea what the conditions might be looking like this weekend? Did they get hammered last week, or might there be some open trail?? TIA for any insight!

Perfectly fitting - though I have no info on current status.

its a little out of date. I think that area has had some decent snow since then.

I would assume the shady areas are still pretty socked in with snow but just an assumption. Would love to run it fairly soon.

Based on the amount of snow we got last week I'd think it's still buried, especially so in the shady areas.

Maybe it will be melted by the weekend of the 10th. I wouldn't mind running spring creek again.

Thanks, everyone for the info. Unless we find something Clear Creek/Boulder County-ish that's open (and interesting), looks like the best bet may be Chinaman.

Spring creek will be a no.
They got hammered last weekend.
The shelf road will still be snowed in.
This the rock garden will be out of reach.

Saxson mtn is a good alternative. The rock slide area was very stable last year.
I would bet it is still stable and a good time.
It,gets much more sun than spring creek.
The top will have snow but is easy to turn around.

Jamie and Carolee are up near pickle gultch, Jamie had to blaze trail for her new baby, the first ten grand IFS Cherokee. So Its been deep up there and still getting more.

Is anyone thinking about chinaman. If all goes well my rig will be ready and I'm looking to get out Saturday or Sunday.
I'm having a new clutch put in, and until it's finished I won't know for sure.

I ran chinaman last weekend, its in good shape and zero snow (as usual). Seems like that trail gets rougher every year, but its in fun/good condition. I think the traildamage low end rating of 4 is not accurate anymore.

Totally agreed.

Just passed Dumont. From I-70 it looks clear, that snow melted off down here pretty quick. I'm sure the up reaches in the shady area are snowy but it's probably worth a shot.

Spring creek would be better run late next month so the upper will be clearn.

Was that the post with the flop? Saw that, too. Wanted to ask if it was clear all the way up, but didn't want to derail the thread.
