Here are some shots of what I did last weekend. If I had had stock bedsides on the rig and no exo cage, it would have been a piece of cake. With the exo, I had to cut the whole back section of cage off in order to move the bumper and access the bed. I will reattach it by sleeving the tubing and drilling holes for rosette welds.

The flared fiberglass bedsides flared over the tires and then returned to the stock tailgate location. When I took out the section of bedside, the flare/angle wasn't even close, so I had to do a bit of tweaking to get the angles to line up again. The lines in the photos are the control lines I used so that my cuts would match and I would have some straight lines to work with. I will glass the sides in this coming weekend and make it look purty....

I took the frame off right after my spring perches, rewelded the perches and attached my bumper directly to them. Without going to coils, this is as short as I can make it. I also welded my rear winch mount to the bumper which was something that I knew I was going to do when I half assed the winch on months ago. No that is as strong as the front winch...

Wasn't the bed the last piece that resembled the stock truck? Now it is really custom! Looks really good Brody! Can't wait to see it in person!

Very nice set up. I particularly like the bars mounted at an angle and your useful looking lights. I need to go pull up a before picture.

China Wall would no longer be a scraper for sure, though I backed up the hard section last week with no problem after going down it...and up it once. Guy I was with thought that it would be a no go. I don't think I even spun a tire...

Anyway, thanks for the kudos, everyone! It was fun, a lot of work, and I still have a little head scratching to do to get the cage tied back in. Departure angle is wicked, too!

It is legal to run an exo...at least so far....

What is shiny??? My door handles are the only shiny things on it and if I put anything else shiny on it, I would have to clean it more often other than the times I clean the underside to wrench...Oh yeah, there is some shiny stuff on the winch..

Chris...I don't trust myself with the tricky sheet metal welding part. I really suck at thin metals..

Here are the shots of the finished product. Tye came over yesterday and busted his butt all day long -cutting, grinding, etc., etc., etc. I wouldn't have been able to get the truck finished today without his help and some really good ideas. Really tricky stuff getting the roll cage tied back in and having it look right. The body work stuff was cake in comparison...Thanks very much, my man!

That was in the game plan, but not in the budget this time. I am still dealing with ARB gremlins, have a trac bar to rebuild and reinstall, an air tank to put in, new seats to buy, an URD Split Second ECU to wire up, all of which I have, but will still cost $$ to finalize. Oh yes...and a belly pan to build and install. I love that style of LEDs and will probably go that route down the pike a bit...just glass the tail light holes in and redo them..

I like the way yours turned out and have seen the same set up on Vue's rig. He works at Central Foreign Auto and has a sick little Yota...flat bed, linked, etc.
