So we were out and about yesterday.
Go to back out of the parking spot, and the front axle stopped moving.
Goes to forward just fine
Makes a noise something is hitting thingsin the diff
I have the drive shaft off and am headed to the shop to open the pan
It is rpm driven so it's in the diff
I am thinking the pin has shifted and is biting the inside of the housing
Let the guess begin
Got an hour tell the pan is off......

I am curious to see what the diagnosis is. Certainly could be a number of things at this point!

She is drivable at this time.
But I have hearing damage, so it makes noise.
Noise is from 25 to 35 mph
Pinion bearings are my issues so I will taking this thing apart again GRRRRR
Work is busy so may a week before I can get in there to rip it apart.

Ok tore the front diff down.
My noise is from one of the pinion teeth having an impact point on it that has dented the end.
Did my best to clean the damage up and new bearings and reset everything.
Still has some charter.
As I song have the funds for replacing gears at the moment I am running them.
The pinion end hearing had damage as well.
The cage was stretched pinion was to tight after having to adjust things last weekend.
The pinion got very lose after the pin hit it
So it's got all new bearings gear pattern is very nice and backlash is right where it should be.
