Heck of an agenda.

Was Twin Cone worth it? I heard the forest service closed it past the private property crossing due to the lawsuit.

Nice Tom, tell me about Day 4 when you have some time. I’m not familiar with any of those names/trails but very familiar with 3verything else.

It was wide open. No signs, gates, posts or boulders blocking the trail. Made it all the way to the top. Only signs were stating a seasonal closure and a sign to stay on marked trails.

I had heard similar that upper section was closed and didn't expect to get too far.

Chris, They are part of the Bonanza Off Highway vehicle tour. Traildamage has a map of the tour.
https://traildamage.com/?s2member_file_download=/bonanza_off-highway_vehicle_tour.pdf

The Salida Ranger district mvum shows them all. Many more than whats on the pdf. Its a maze of trails there. And loads of old mines.

Found this version of the map too

I went looking since i will be in the area this weekend. I interpret it as not being open and it is a restricted road meaning no motorized vehicles. These new road use rules are a bit confusing to say the least.

Thats about where i thought it was closed. Lots of vehicle traffic(recent tracks) on that section. No signs or gates.
