So after 6 years and 65k miles I am trading my TJ.
Am getting to the point where time to work on it is tight as I am out off town working 60 plus hours a week.
And with a long week like that last the ng I want to do is work on the Jeep.
Rather go drive it at this point.

I am also looking to have a few more creature comforts.
As well the TJ is a bit tight for my camping gear for a 3day weekend.
So I am looking at a new '17 rubi unlimited.
With all the creature comforts and the longer wheel base
I should be very happy.
As they got refunded over the last few years.
And with the new model coming out it's the right time.

So the weekend is going to be a shopping weekend with a day to wheel a new ride!

Pics once I pick the right one!

Am looking at a '17 rubi hard rock on 37's with a 4" lift
I think we will enjoy it a lot.
As we are both a beat up in the TJ!

The week needs hurry up and get done.
Working in Aspen for the last month sucks big time.
Traffic in Glen wood is like I-25 with the bridge work!

Thanks

Looking forward to a group run once I get into it and comfy behind the wheel!

Spent many nights of my career in Glenwood, took the side hill road on the west to avoid the bridge. Once the retail went in, traffic there was just as bad. Juicy Lucy's used to be a good a good bet for dinner if it is still around. Doesn't make up for being away from home but it helps. Hope to see the new rig on the trail soon.

Glenwood has change alot.
We do use the river road that parallels hwy82
But Grand Ave is one lane and I can walk faster than drive.
Being away from home is not to bad.
It's the 6 day work week that's rough.

I hope to wheel on Monday at the least!

Thanks we'll see ya out sometime

So we tried to go up to Idaho Spring to the hot springs , traffic was stopped at the Evergreen Parkway so we did get to far.
I like the power for sure.
It will need gears as the long hills required to be way to deep into the gas peddle.
But for now it will do.
We are very happy with the ride.

[QUOTE=dieseldoc;316893]Thanks Dave, are your projects coming along?[/QUOTE

been to busy, wife and I joined TJ
and ran the rim rocker trail until we got to the border of Utah
and Colorado, we had to bail 'cause we originally were goingg
there to do the national parks. So He and his friend continued on.
we are heading back to Denver in the morning. We did Durango
mid July, and are running some trails by St. Elmo two weeks
from now w/are running with the over (50) the hill jeep club. So mainly
working and playing, projects will get work after the season is
over.👍

So the first weekend with the JK was very enjoyable.
At least tell the left rear shock resivor got smashed into the frame.
As well the ESP has come on twice on the freeway, the speedometer is off by 5mph at 30mph.
So it's been at the dealership sense Tuesday.
They were to have had the AEV ProCal in the truck on date of sale.
So there has been no recalibration for the tires.
Thus many of the systems are not able to calibrate correctly.
The shock was a installers issue, the band clamps we're not tight thus letting the isolators fall out, and the resivor moved, the rear track bar bracket shoved it into frame.

Warranty issue will be fixed soon.

That my buddies ride.
Gary's rubi has a black top. But same color.

Tanks Pual. Love this thing. The ride don't beat the hell out of us.
As well it's not a part time job to maintain it.
The dealership gets to do it for a while, all be it with the oils I provide as the factory stuff is not even close to what we use from work.
My friend Dylan's 17 sport was getting 19mpg on the factory oils, switched to LubeMaster and it's getting 22mpg now.
