Looks really cool but those metal seats might be difficult to deal with ..................... LOL

Fortunately, you don't actually sit on the metal bench looking thing for the seat. The actual seats (lightly padded seat frames) mount over the metal bench looking part. Not saying its all that comfortable, but better. Pretty similar to the early flat fender and military jeep seats. Pic:

Not 100% sure about the series 1 rovers, but early rover bodies were aluminum (and the CL post looks to be) so they don't rust much. Unfortunately, the frames are an odd, thin, folded over sheetmetal system than rusts horribly. Jeep friend of mine is rebuilding one here - built a whole new frame for it. The engines leave a lot to be desired for modern times - but for a restoration its cool with lots of hard to get pieces.

I love the classics, not my cup of tea to build one but I do enjoy seeing them !!!!!!!!!!!!!

My buddy had a 1969 Series IIA in college. I rode in the back seat through most of the Needles district of Canyonlands. What a trip! The worst was trying to keep my head from hitting the side window. His IIA was faded and needed a fair amount of cosmetic work. At $10k, it wasn't a cheap investment.

The Series I models are SUPER rare for the Rover enthusiasts. My wallet isn't big enough though at $24k
