Not sure of the practicallity, but a cool find just the same.

Cool in some ways and impractical - would be better with a snow track system instead of wheels.
Some VIN issues going on there as I don't believe cj8 were made in 79. It also has the cj8 postal/overlander top and not the standard cj 8 top.

Tracks would be cool, skis on the front. They make tracks that go over the tires of skid steers, maybe those could be fitted to this. Impractical is key, but cool in its own way.

a couple of others caught my eye too:

More practical CJ

Then an old pickuup

All those pictures, and not a single one shows the front.

I noticed that too - a bit odd

Wonder what it sold for?

Sold for $12K and finally a shot of the front.

Front's a bit hideous. Could the winch be a PTO style?

I'd like to see photos of the dual rear axle setup - suspension mounting and are both live, if yes, is one in-cab disconnectable.

6wd and 2 gigantic winches... Someone really, really did not want to get stuck.

Bet it rides like a brick

Unfortunately there were not many specs published. It would be nice as Jim said if it was a “twin screw” with an in-cab control to activate the second axle. Agree on the front bumper as well, no wonder they didn’t show that originally.
