How does one delete a thread?

That function is tended via the admin, currently me.

Thread deletion - if it has only one or two posts such as a "test" type of thread is fairly easy (as a decision to delete) but if it's filled with back-n-forth banter between members, it's likely to stay. Threads that are abusive or overly negative, which is QUITE rare, no matter how many posts within, would be subject for deletion.

Is there a thread you wish deleted? If yes, forward a link to the thread.

It's not really a big deal, I'll just let them die. They didn't get any traction. Thanks

Ah - gotcha.

I merged the "Planned" posts in with the "Planning" thread. This effectively removes the "Planned" thread but what people have written will remain to be seen (I have in place a 1-day forward in Planned to Planning). I made a note in the Planning thread as to the change:

No worries as to making the changes. I'm happy to see you getting involved!

In general, a "Planning" thread, on occasion, dies on the vine as nobody's interested. We don't bother deleting those threads - they just fall by the wayside. As for Planned - threads typically only get started there when 1) at least one other person from Planning says "they're in" or 2) the person stirring the waters is going on X trail at X date/time no matter what - even if nobody else wishes to join in. Without either of those items happening, a Planning thread never makes it to Planned. Once a run makes it to the Planned stage, right when the Planned thread is created an RSVP / Calendar entry is also made - often with links from Planned to the Cal and Cal to Planned so people can easily jump back and forth.

Anyway - I'm happy to see you getting involved and am happy to jump in to assist. Anything else - just holler.
