So we had a GREAT time today! Picked up LOTS of trash, more to get though later. About 18 people in attendance plus a pair of dogs. Total of 8 (?) vehicles. Everyone put in a good effort and I am sure there will be great pics! Only minor injuries with no apparent rig damage to report.

Chris: Do you have my cooler and other stuff? Forgot to get it from you. Realized you were likely doing another trail. We had to scoot home.

 Thank you for hauling out the big rusted cylinders, all the other trash, and for bringing drinks, hot dogs and everything else!

Forgot to tell you. That group of kids we passed on the way out, sitting on the side of the trail? After you went by one called for me to stop and asked, "Excuse me, ma'am? what did that guy DO???" With your no doors and dead tire and much metal in the pick up bed, who knows what he thought. I told him that was all the trash we picked up. The crowd made the appropriate mixed chorus of wow, no kidding, and other awed kid phrases.

Glad that I could get rid of some of the sodas. I don't drink caffeine and my wife doesn't drink enough of it! They had to get put to good use! Happy to help with the truck and with bringing the other "supplies".

Glad that I was able to set a decent example for the kids. Maybe one day they will return the favor in kind. Good that future generations can see that we all have to pitch in. Want to thank everyone for filling up my truck. Without your help, that wouldn't have been nearly so full!

Pete: I had your lighter in my pocket when I got home. My bad. Yours next time I see you.

Joe and I hung out at the park until about 8:30 so I just got home. Great group effort today and a good time as well, hope everyone feels the same. It was nice to put faces with names, meeting people I hadn't and seeing everyone. :thunb:

I think we hauled out a good amount and I'm glad the injuries weren't any worse than they were. Thanks to Drs. Brody and Pathrat for the tools and skills.

Jeff, yes I have you cooler and contents. I'll try to drop it off tomorrow.

Now let's see some pics! :)

 Oh to be inside the young mind! I'm sure the ideas made a huge shift when they understood. Nice to show and tell them.

We really enjoyed being out with all of you today, real sorry LaDawn had to work Pete. A few more trips like that and "OUR" trail will look real good, for a trail that hadnt been done in a while or at all we left it looking better.

Stella and I want to thank all of you for bringing something for our picnic. A "BIG" thank you for the donations.

I'm sure to be forgetting something ... Thanks for the effort everybody put in, its always a breeze when everybody puts in. Cant wait to do it again.

Great time yesterday once again! Thanks for all the response to the trail clean up. The more I am involved and get to know the folks on this site, the more impressed I am. Thanks again, Chris, and thanks to everyone who brought food, drinks, etc to share!

Great shots of the kids, too. And of Tye...man has put in his fair share of t- stakes....

Jeff, I hope your leg patch is fine. I found the other stuff I wanted when I got home. I had set it aside to put in the 1st aid kit and never did.

Leg patch held fine Pete. I appreciate your help. It stopped the bleeding and looks a lot better already. I should get in the habit of carrying a First Aid kit. Paper towels and duct tape just aren't always the best option.

Chris: I have to run my engine hoist over to a buddy's place today. If you are in the area and I am not home, can you just drop it on the porch? If you won't be over this way, I can swing by and grab it too.

Glad I am not a sign post when Tye is around! That tool is simply mean!

That is a mean hole maker, it sure got the blood pumping... if you work that thing enough you sure earn lunch .
Great vid Steve, there goes my image of being a lazy safety man...gotta start over for that image and do damage control.

Tye, please let Stella know about the link here, you seem to be featured in over half the pictures. I wasn't aiming, but you were doing lots of sign installations and spotting that made for good pictures.
Brad and Kristen, I have more pictures of you kids but didn't want to put them up on a public photobucket album. I'd be happy to email them to you.

Dinner time (my son made pizza) then I'll put up some individual pics for all to see on this thread.

Good thinking, let's all remember to get parents okay before posting pics of children.

I'll share the hazard of posting names of children in ANY public place especially newspapers some time if you want to get scared. :(

I have some posted when we are all in a group but you can't make out any of the kid's features. There is also this one of the oldest boy but all you can see is the shirt and part of the back of his head with the hardhat. If anyone wants them taken down, I'd be happy to. I am pretty paranoid and won't post any of mine on photobucket if you can see anything identifying or their faces. Sucks sometimes.

I personally think all molesters and pedophiles should be pulled down the road, hooked onto a d-shackle, then set on fire to end their misery.

Chris - Thanks for putting this together, we had a great time picking-up. It was also nice to start putting some names and faces together. The kids were sacked out by the time we got home. We're certainly looking forward to the next one!

Thanks for your concern. You can never be too careful when it comes to this kind of stuff. The pictures you posted of my kiddos are just fine. If you have some more, I'd love to see them - shoot me a PM.

We need to think about how much time and the tools needed, wheels, etc to get the trashed Bronco out of there. Also do some research to see if the rear is an 8.8 or 9". Ditto with the front...is it a Dana 44 or something crappy.

Here is a thought, too: Since this is for free and we all have stuff lying around, how much would it cost to make this into a rock buggy? Time, $$, and parts? The engine, if it isn't cracked, is your basic 302 fuel injected Ford, the front would have to be converted, Dave might donate his wheels and tires, we have a lot of folks who weld and fab stuff, the body is a write off, who cares if the frame is a little bent...anyway, just a thought....

I think I made an error in child assignment. The older boy in the white shirt belongs to whom? I have pictures to send to the correct parental unit if isn't Brad, which I think it isn't. Doug, didn't you bring a boy? I feel kind of stupid now.
