I got to go there yesterday for the first time and it was really fun and interesting. I'd recommend it. :thumb: One of the pics shows a stump with monitoring equipment around it infront of an open field: apparently it was once a huge field of stumps, the ranger said you could walk from stump to stump without touching the ground before tourists took all of it away, piece by piece, prior to it becoming a monument. The pic of the kiosk shows a train stopped so people can gather petrified wood; back then it wasn't illegal, apparently even scientists took some away. Interesting place.
