This section is a little harder than southern section and has a pretty challenging little hill climb called Cliffhanger 2.0 that is fun. I want to get out for at least a few hours, maybe even longer. Meet a few miles east of Ward on Lefthand Canyon road and Sawmill on the attached picture left of center. The trails right in the center are what I’m going to run. Any stock 4x4 should be fine.
Let me know if anyone is interested....I’m also up for other ideas ;)

Matt what about Sunday? I can’t tomorrow and the weather looks a little warmer. Also last time I was up, there’s a big snow drift on 461.1b to 461.1a but cliff hanger was good. Have fun! I might run Bunce or dry st vrain(you mentioned) on Sunday if you or any one else is interested.

Dry St Vrain is nice and quiet but kind of boring to be honest but great for bringing mom or just to get away for an hour. Ironclads is very very icy.... I went there yesterday and was sliding around very early on(at which point I realized my rear locker was leaking so I headed down to fix it). Bunce would be fun for sure, deep snow near the gate and it’s getting a dusting right now but sure to see a million UTV/ATV’s. The rental places have been very active at Bunce lately, every day they are running so on the weekend we are sure to see a lot ..... which is why I’m trying to find other places ;)

No winch yet lol, I have done that trail in the summer it’s not bad but right now yeah definitely need a winch. What about Illinois gulch that one is a little closer or what about north?

Dude, if you do any winter wheelin you gotta get a winch. The Smittybilt 9500 is cheap, I bought it with synth rope for less than $400 and it’s paid for itself many times already!

Illinois gulch is down near the other gulches, more than 3 hour drive just to get to the trailhead for me. I’m sticking around the Peak to Peak .... Peawink Mountain is west of Boulder off of Sugarloaf road and might be fun to check out. Switzerand trail and Gordon gulch area is very close also so we could string a few routes together. we could go to Yankee Hill.... was open all the way up just a couple weeks ago and could definitely be fun.

Winch is definitely on the list but that’s why I’m going with you so you can pull me out like last year lol;). I’m good with peak to peak on Sunday haven’t explored that peawink trail yet.

Sure would like to get out and tear up some snow but not sure I can be ready by Sunday. Really need to buckle down and get the T-case ripped from Wylie's rig to get him back out. Will keep an eye on this and see what happens tomorrow.

No worries Matt I know how that goes, my Tacoma buddy said no as well so I may just wait and try and run Switzerland with the group on Tuesday.
