My JK is a sport with low range gear of 2.72 (like all wranglers since they were made). I’d like to upgrade to a Rubicon which is 4:1 geared low range. Large improvement to crawl ratio.
Rubicon take off is way way way cheaper than doing an atlas.

Too bad a RubiCrawler won't fit.

The other great thing about it is you can gear your rig to perfect street prowess and have a great low range for wheeling for about a Grand. Just gearing your axles you have to choose one or the other or somewhere in between.

Keep in mind the low range on these will over heat if you stay in it to long, and to high speeds
They are tighter clearances than the previous model.

Ya I got this bad boy installed Friday night. Had to drive to Walmart @ 11pm to get ATF :D
After my initial test drive I was thinking I’ll probably have to shift out of 4L sometimes now, but the crawl speed is so glorious! I appreciate the advice!

Use the low rage as needed then shift out. These like a slight roll for the shift as well.
Enjoy your lower gears👍
