Camping at Kelly flats

Wanting to run Kelly flats this weekend and camp. Can anyone tell me if there are any spots up there with fire rings?

There is a fs maintained campground(read pay to camp) right across the road from the trailhead. Since its next to the river I suspect they allow fires. Everything else is going to be rustic build your own ring.

So disbursed camping is ok then. That's fine with me, just want to make sure there is somewheres to set up a tent

You could also join the anniversary run at China Wall and camp there.

Google satellite view shows some possible spots east off of the Kelly flats trail - eastern trailhead.

Pretty sure it is. At least toward the western end. You could call canyon lakes ranger district to be sure.

There are a couple spurs near the start (east end) that have camping spots. There are several more at the west end as well.
