We are running the empire loop tomorrow. We are stating early to get ahead of the year and traffic.
We're leaving the house at 7:45 looking to be in Idaho springs by 8:30 trail head by 9.
If you all want to come along we will be at the McDonald's at 8:15-8:30

Interested, but won't be able to commit until around midnight tonight. Won't be up and ready for the early start diesel doc is aiming for.

I cannot. I have a connector that holds 3 10ga wires under my steering column to the ignition that is flaking out and was getting hot. I've ordered new Anderson Powerpole 45amp connectors from amazon but they won't be here in time. i could have just soldered the wires together and put heat shrink on them but I know with my upcoming heatercore/blower motor job that would likely come back to bit me. :)

Back from. T33a. I appreciate the Empire Loop offer, but don’t feel like driving that far.

I was thinking Yankee at 9:30 at the trailer parking area. If anyone can do that I would be down. Trent midnights ok. If you want to pm me I would see it when I first get up.

Can you drop a map link to the parking area here? I've never been up Yankee hill and am not certain where the meeting spot is.

Also on google map search for columbine campground road.. its labeled “staging area to unload razor”. My pin on the link is that staging area.

Hey Tom I have heard this trail is very easy, do you agree? Think bringing my whole family would be manageable? I have 3 small kids 5 and under, please let me know your thoughts.

I have been wanting to get my wife out on her first run but want an easy trail so she doesn't get scared off

I would not have any issues bringing my grandchildren. Pretty easy yes.
