Anyone interested in a Slaughterhouse Gulch run 8/8, 8/10, 8/11, or 8/12?
I just got a surprise vacation!!!

I'd like to run it sometime, but this weekend (other than the Friday run I already have planned) is not an option for me.

I’m looking forward to seeing you Friday. I’ve got three vacation days to burn off by Tuesday. Trying to make the most of them and stay in the mountains for five days

Good deal. I had not yet noticed you joined the Friday run. I think you'll enjoy argentine, though it isn't particularly challenging technically.

I think I should be available on sat...see what develops over the next couple days.

I haven't done Slaughterhouse and would like to do a trail I haven't done...Saturday for me...

I’m heading up to scout it now. If I’m not at the Argentine trail head in the morning or haven’t checked in I’ve had a problem

Its been a few years since I ran it, but Slaughterhouse used to be pretty easy (like I ran all of it in 2wd by accident due to a locking hub issue)...most of it going in and down is pretty easy dirt road and 2-track, and there is one big hill with loose gravel and whoop-de-doos coming back up the backside. Then there is one small rock slab obstacle right after that....It is a good one for being close to the metro area and it only takes a couple hours to run it.

I’d love to run slaughterhouse again but this weekend is out for me.

I didn’t get any pictures from Slaughterhouse. The trail was easy and well groomed. It looked like the forestry service has been through with a dozer recently. Any stock 4x4 should be able to do it without much trouble

That is a true bummer. We run Slaughterhouse a lot for break in runs and the back side was just getting fun. If you go left at the fork you are going downhill through the flexy part and is much less challenging than going right. Haven't made it up this year but hopefully soon.

I went right at the fork. Will go back and run it left soon. Barbour forks gave me more of a challenge

Sadness. That was a fun little trail that was close to town.
Sounds like now it’s just another dirt road..
a lot like what they done to Navadaville loop.
