I was out of town for a couple weeks and then was planning on replacing my rear drivers brake caliper last weekend but it was so windy and snowy up here I skipped it. Hoping to replace it this week so I can finally take the Jeep back out wheeling!
Ill post something up for this weekend if I get this taken care of during the week! Hope to see some of you again soon ;)

I replaced the caliper today.... that was easier and less messy than doing the brake hose! I'm hoping the wife will help me bleed it after we eat tonight! If its finally fixed I'll be jeeping this weekend ,,,,,,, and it looks like snow

How much snow do you think trails near you have? How much do you have in your yard?

Quite a bit of snow in my yard, much much more than this time last year!

Id guess the trails are very snow covered and chains will be needed for sure!

Get a self bleeder kit (or make one). Easy to bleed the brakes yourself with a small bottle, stopper, and some hose. Mine has a big magnet on the side so you can stick it to the frame, like this -- https://www.autozone.com/test-scan-and-specialty-tools/brake-bleeder/oemtools-one-man-brake-bleeder-kit/46839_0

I have a self bleeder for my corvette but every master reservoir is a different size and it doesn’t fit my Jeep. I actually gravity bleed this morning and the brakes are working great! After work today I’ll test drive to make sure it’s not seizing anymore but I am confident it won’t since it’s a brand new caliper!
Anyone wanna get out and snow bash this weekend???

Planning to go out and snow.... ski this weekend. Have fun in the Jeep though! Maybe I'll see you up around Ned.

Works like a charm! Took the Jeep up to Parachute hill and it was quite snowy. Needed the lockers to get up a couple sections and then I turned back to avoid a very snowy section (it was dark and didn’t feel like getting stuck). Everything is working great..... when I got home I tossed both sets of chains and some tools so I’m all set for wheelin’

I might be swayed for something this weekend. Snow is coming so that's a big wild card.

I’m thinking Bunce and Ironclads, since it’s nearby and has good wheeling. Probably not going to be busy with the snow ;)
