Okay - The March anniversary run is set for Sat 3/28 - just about 4 weeks from now. We now need to pick a trail....Setting it up with 5 choices - poll end date is Tues 3/10, which will give over 2 weeks advanced notice on trail selection. You may select multiple options.
1) Lil Moab/Rainbow falls - this is the location for the past two march anniversary runs. Has the a couple good rock spots (including the Lil Moab obstacle) and quite a bit of easy dirt trail network that can be more challenging to impassible with snow. Option for a large group to hangout and socialize at either the RF parking area or Lil Moab is nice if weather is good.
2) Gulches - includes Metberry, Longwater and Hackett. Can meet near the trailhead for all 3, and people can decide which they prefer. Its usually possible to run two gulches in a day in the summer if you are moving along...The trailhead area and trail ends near the river are both nice places for parking for a bit if weather is nice.
3) Bull Park - this area includes some harder adjacent trails like Eagle Rock and Saran Wrap. I know very little of this area, but its on my list to visit this year.
4) Mt Herman/Schubarth Trails - typically these are easier dirt roads that connect in to RRR, but with snow it they could be quite entertaining. Guessing for more stock rigs, this trip would be the best. If there is snow, the bigger rigs could push through first...
5) Other - if you have a suggestion, mark other, and post up below in the thread.
