I'm staying in the Fraser area for a few days next week (July 13-16) and plan to get out for at least one day of wheeling'. Anyone up there or want to go up there and hit one of the few trails in the area? Heres a map snapshot from Trails Off-road and most are green/easy but one is rated red/hard. Little Muddy Creek. I did that 3 years ago in my Ram Rebel and definitely would not have done if it was rated difficult. I believe it was rated moderate and it was moderate. I'm surprised to see it rated difficult now but perhaps the road conditions really deteriorated over the last few years.... so I'm not planning on doing it this time unless someone else was interested in joining me. Otherwise I'll probably hit one or a few of the easy green trails ;)

Mike, I don’t think Monday works for me.... sorry. We drive out Monday and stay until Thursday so I’m looking at Tues & Wednesday as my best options.

Heres my trip report of Little Muddy creek from 3 years ago!!

I did Little Muddy Creek a couple of weekends ago and got stuck constantly in my stock Xterra with good tires. The only people who weren't getting stuck constantly had at least 1 locker. You'll probably be just fine in your TJ Rubi, and maybe it has dried up some by now.

Whew boy the mud got everywhere! It got so clogged up in there you couldn't see the radiator from the front looking through the grille, just a wall of mud, which lead to overheating the next day. Also my fuel pump started to go out towards the end of the trail. It was a good time, haha.:D

Nice! When I did it 3 years ago I was in my Ram Rebel and by myself. It was challenging but no issues. I’m bringing my Powerwagon next week, so front and rear lockers, winch, 37” mud tires..... I’d like to run it again but probably won’t do it alone this time

Do you happen to know if there is anyway to get over to Winter Park from Nederland by trail, or would I be looking at highway all the way over there? I looked around on the map and couldn't find any trails that went all the way through but am hoping I just missed something.

Nope, you have to take I70 or you can go thru RMNP by taking Trail Ridge Road, or you can go all the way north to Hwy 14 and go over Cameron pass but this would be much longer than the other options.

I believe Rollins Pass Road used to go thru but they closed it many many years ago

I'm a dummy, and was off by a week in my mental calendar, I can't do it this week.
