1. Have you, someone living in your household, someone with whom you have been in close or frequent contact with, or someone you are caring for been diagnosed with COVID-19 (Coronavirus) or had any contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19?
2. In the last 14 days, have you or someone living in your household, or someone with you have been in close or frequent contact with, or someone you are caring for returned from, or made a travel connection through a CDC Level 3 or Level 2 country or State Department Level 3 or Level 4 country, for example, China, Korea, Japan, the European Union, and Iran? (reference hyperlinked CDC or State Department websites for updated lists of countries).
3. Do you currently have, or have you had within the last 24 hours, any cold or flu symptoms with a fever greater than 100.4 or acute respiratory distress (e.g., shortness of breath and coughing)?
If a volunteer answers “yes” to any of the questions above, they will not be allowed to volunteer at this time.
Volunteers must follow the same policies and regulations that apply to Forest Service Employees (in all cases). Specifically related to COVID-19, the following applies:
· Only one person is allowed per vehicle when volunteering. The only exception to this rule is if volunteers are living in the same household.
· Volunteers must wear facial coverings at all times inside Forest Service facilities. Follow any additional safety protocols established for that facility.
· Volunteers must wear facial coverings outside any time social distancing of at least 6 feet cannot be maintained.
Volunteers may supply their own work gloves, face covering and eye protection if they have preferences for specific PPE that meets safety requirements, or if agency shortages would prevent work from being completed. PPE shall not be shared.
Public Contacts:
· Volunteers should adjust their expectations for response to emergencies, as first responders, City and County dispatch centers may be operating on diminished capacities during this period.
· Volunteers should adjust their expectations for Forest Service and Law enforcement response when reporting violations.
· Do not attempt to enforce or educate any state or county ordinances around COVID-19 (ex: group gatherings, requirements for facial coverings, stay at home orders, etc.)
· Be courteous. Announce your presence to others when passing others to help maintain social distance.
· Stay on trails except to maintain social distance. If you need to maintain social distance while accessing trails, step off the trail and allow others to pass.
· In order to maintain social distancing, do not schedule volunteer activities which cause people to gather in close proximity, such as trailhead ambassadors, VIS, or large group education events.
Risk Assessments Worksheet (RAW):
· Risk Assessments and/or Job Hazard Analyses will be developed by the Forest Service to address COVID-19 and project specific hazards and appropriate mitigation measures. Volunteers must review and sign prior to participating in any volunteer activity.

Pro tip if you have one of those old man grabber poles they are really handy at picking up shells and small trash.

Come on folks we need more than 4 vehicles to clean these trails. Its our way to help keep trails open. Dirty littered uncared for trails get closed by the FS.

Sorry. I voted for days I would be in town, but the weekend of our moab trip won the vote. Hopefully everyone who voted for the 19th steps up and attends.

This is the Barbour Fork cleanup from 2016. It's easy and a lot of fun, more hanging out than a typical run. Many hands make light work. :thumb:

I have a fused neck with Cerebral Palsy so I can't do a lot of walking. Is there something for me to do to help out?

There is plenty you can do Sean! First of all, another set of eyes is great to have. You may spot things that no one else saw. Simply point it out and someone in the group will get it if you can't. We have found large and heavy items such as doors and mattresses and the like in past years, but a few people can handle things like that while you tend to other things. I have found that the fire pits at camp sites are usually the biggest mess. You can drive right up to them and pick up shell casings, brass, glass and assorted garbage without doing much walking at all. You'll enjoy this run. I'd suggest that you do Devils Canyon because it's an easier trail and I think it has more camp sites. I ran Barbour Forks a couple weeks ago and the obstacles are much more difficult to navigate. It may be more difficult for you to walk it if you needed to get out of your Jeep. (Of course, someone will spot you if needed so do this one if you want more of a challenge)! It was really fun!:p

I put myself in as a maybe. Just got the new front end suspension parts for the WK and planning on getting it together this weekend. I might be able to take the F150, but since it got cold, there's been a clunking in the front. I'm thinking it's the struts.

If I get the WK back together, I'll change to a yes!

FWIW - Devils canyon is very mild - pretty much take a subaru everywhere except the optional steep rutted section from the upper trail to the lower bench. Mechanical issues are a different story of course, but assuming no issues there, stock F150 will be fine on DC. I take often take my stock tacoma for clean-up as its easy to throw trash in the bed....Even debating taking the old 58 wagon....

I got the WK back together last night, it's in for an alignment now. I should be able to bring that out for a maiden run!

The F150 clunking stopped after it warmed up, pretty sure the shocks are gone. Looking at getting Fox fronts and rears, lift it 2.5 inches in the front. :) I went on a trip to Breckenridge this past weekend and took Boreas pass on the way back. Super easy trail, lots of Prius's.

This is Andy's WK (pre lift!) at the gatekeeper for Barbour Forks, Sept 2018. It has also done Devil's Canyon so with the updates/upgrades that Andy has done it should be a great trail for it!

Beautiful weather, good trails, good company, and some trash to pick up is pretty easy. I've been up on 3 or 4 cleanup days in the past and each time I've had about 1 black trash bag that usually consisted of cans, shell casings, and other small camping trash. Don't be scared come out and have some fun.

Yes - thanks to all who will be attending. We should have plenty so each trail group will split in two. Usually one group goes CW and one goes CCW etc. Looking forward to some fall colors as well.

Wanted to give a last minute update. I took the rover out last night to fuel it and drive it a bit as it's been sitting. I have a brake light that came on and I'm not just low on fluid. I cannot remember if I have wear sensors but I'm not going to bring it up to play with the uncertainty. Sorry guys.
