That's a new name to me - where is it?
Trails Offroad doesn't show it.

Its past Vail just a bit. Its a newer trail. Probably 5 years old or so.

In addition to the two trails that TrailsOffroad shows nearby, is Trough Trail - perhaps either a LONG day or maybe a weekend run...

Sounds like a plan for a future camping trip, perhaps while I still have the Jeep setup for overlanding...

Well - if setting up for some camping - Adams Lake isn't too far away ;-)

Quite a few trails in that area. Many of which I haven't done, I don't typically go past vail too often. I believe ohv permit is required for all 4x4's on all the trails in Colorado technically. The other trail I want to do is the one called Middle Middle, but I don't want to bite off more I can chew in a day of wheeling. Would rather take my time on one trail rather than rush through two. Both trails look like lockers front and rear are a good idea and 33s or so for tires.

I may be interested, I'm trying to get some folks together to run Holy Cross on Friday October 2nd. I would stay overnight and run Tie Rod Bender on Saturday October 3rd. I'll see what I can put together.

I'd be interested in HC on 10/2 - assuming its not all a bunch of super built rigs flying through it. I've never run it, and with my little jeep it might be a bit slow going.

That's why I'm looking to go on a Friday, the folks that may be coming with me are not super built and not trying to prove anything. Slower the better picking some good lines.

oooo...how many rigs you got going with you? I've been wanting to do this trail for years now. I finally got the 4Runner almost where I want it, minus sliders, for now. but I think it could handle it.
are you going to make an official posting for the run?

Michael - any updates on running Tie Rod Bender on Saturday Oct. 3rd? Looks like we are running Holy Cross on Friday Oct. 2nd and I will stay over somewhere closer to Gypsum if Tie Rod is a go.

Unfortunately I broke an axle on my rig Saturday. So I'm going to have to cancel or reschedule. Sorry man.

I don't think I am up for Tie-rod - If I make it through Holy Cross that will be good enough! You guys can give me the low down on Tie rod. If someone is looking to spend the night, I might be up for back to back days....There are some other trails in the area that I am interested to run such Halfmoon Creek just south of Leadville and McCallister Gulch area just north of Camp Hale.

Jim and James - I'm up for staying overnight, camp or hotel, somewhere Friday night after Holy Cross and then running any of the above mentioned trails on Saturday. I haven't been on any of the other trails mentioned so I will leave it up to you two seasoned Jeepers to recommend a trail for Saturday.

Seasoned - but I've not much even looked at any of them.
I looked at temps and think I might bail and pull out the wallet for two nights in Eagle. I'd share a room but as a snorer nobody might wish to share with me.
Essentially, if anyone wishes to do a Saturday trail - I'll pull the trigger and reserve for two nights and get it settled.

Gerald's up for something on Saturday. I'm up for something on Saturday. We just need to decide WHAT on Saturday.
You (James) will be in the area - do you wish to trail ride on Saturday or are you heading home? I'm game for anything. If Gerald wishes to run TRB, I'm game for it (you're not). IMO - it's Gerald's call. I'll follow about anything.

Let's run McAllister Gulch on Saturday. It's close to Holy Cross. I know Jim is in. How about James? When James replies, I will post it on Planned Trails and the Calendar.

I am thinking I will not be wheeling on Sat. Jen is off this Sat and we are heading out of town on Sunday, so thinking its a good 'family' day. Pick whatever works best for you....

Spin the steering wheel - I'll follow Gerald...
(now to see what hits the RSVP page to see where I'll go!)
