"This truck has 13,581 original miles. It is immaculate and like new... This truck has been in my family since it was new. It was always garaged kept, immaculately maintained and kept completely clean (dry dusted in the garage). It was serviced only by one GMC dealership. All paperwork, service receipts and the original sticker is included (and shown in the pictures). It was used regularly, on dry sunny days, for mostly local errands. It sounds like a cliche, and it is. I can prove that it is correct."

Either that or get didn't like the emails he was getting.

I read the ad when it was up. I think he had it overpriced. Even with very low miles and great condition, it's still an older regular cab long bed manual transmission truck. And it was that ugly bland beige color that GM uses. It didn't scream out "you need to over pay for me" like a differently configured old truck would.

Still in all, I hope he can get (or got) what he wants for that truck. It did seem to be in very good condition.

Yep. Garaged so little to no UV damage. Clean, yes. Undercarriage pic looked nice (clean).

I'm not a truck person - though I agree - meh

Yea, I mean I get the appeal and all. But a brand new F150 is what, $29,000? I'm sure he was shooting high to land a little lower.

My guess, he wasn't looking to price it like a "new" system. I think he was trying to find that very small market who'd be interested in such a novelty vehicle (old, but ?like new?).

Just have to replace every piece of rubber on it before you use it.

A brand new 1/2 ton pickup starts well into the 30's. Even a work truck trim is higher than you might think. I've been pricing out various options for a tow rig and I'm surprised at how fast you top $50K for a new truck. The 1/2 tons are the worst. I priced out an F150 that came in just about $1,100 less than an F250 with their new 7.3 gas big block. Both similarly equipped (as close as I can get anyway).

Edit: A base 2WD F150 with no options at all is over $28K so still under $30K but not by much.

agreed....I keep thinking of replacing my tacoma with a 1/2 ton 4wd truck that will tow better...and even in work truck trim, short cab, longer bed, minimal options for towing and its $40k....

Yea, I definitely should have used the phrase "starts at..." :lmao:
