The road was open all the way to the end of the 43 mile track I have. There were some very icy sections and some deep snow but we cruised pretty fast most of the way. Did a few spur trails too, one had some downed trees that turned us back. Another loop we did was great! All in all a fantastic day out wheelin

I did the most transfer case selecting - and to select choices that I RARELY select (4H).

For most of my Colorado driving - 2H for street and 4Lo for trails - until today.

Just the trail we took is 43 miles one way. Add on the Spurs we took we easily did 100 miles of dirt road - Jim and I did another 10+ miles south to Red Feather Lake before we hit pavement and aired up.
Great mix of easy dirt road cruising to deep snow and tight trails between trees. We got the winches out a few times & had one close call on a sheet of ice..... I’d say it was a success!

I started recording the trip a few miles west of 287 after we turned onto 80C, stopped recording around the same spot ish. Came in at about 94 miles

And Jim I was thinking the same thing while driving, transfer case got a work out! And I haven't spent that much time in 4H since driving to school during a Michigan blizzard in a my old 2000 XJ

That and 3Lo too
(selectively unlocking front hubs, front diff lock enabled or not)

3Lo has only come into use when I busted a front hub on Red Cone...

First time using a GoPro, first time ever editing video! Unfortunately I wasn't judicious enough with my battery usage so I got none of the snowy spur we all did towards the end of the run. Next time I'll add more info (I'm thinking text overlay of road names as we turn onto them), make the video shorter (under 10 min), and choose a song that isn't so repetitive :lmao: Hope you enjoy!
