We know of the "abrasive" method - a low-ish speed polisher / buffer with some polishing compound though tonight I came across this "chemical" method. Hmmm...

The product: CRC QD Electronic Cleaner

`listed as in-stock at Home Depot for about $10/can

Fast forward to 2m 30s for the start of cleaning

OMG! How to clean a clear vinyl window on a M151A2 soft top or any clear vinyl window.

Does it work by taking material off of the vinyl, or melting it chemically somehow?

I've been looking for a way to clean my windows. I bought the Bestop vinyl window cleaner and it didn't do a DANG thing. I still need to get the sticky remnants of some tape off of both of the door windows. The PO stuck "for sale" signs on the inside of both windows with packing tape or something :bang:

Until I saw the video with the CRC spray / chemical, the only way I knew of to remove tarnish was polishing with fine abrasive. The Novus 1-2-3 plastic polish abrasives were the main item I've known about. I have the three bottle set and used them on the old top's windows - it's work when doing it by hand. Polishing by using an electric tool seems to be the way.

The chemical method certainly looks attractive.
