Hi all,
Just seeing if anyone in northern Colorado might have a good scanner that can read the SRS airbag light of a 99 xj.
Thanks,

Any Autozone will pull codes for you. Usually free if I remember right.
I have a scanner but I'm down in Castle Rock.

I know they can read the check engine light, but the SRS is a bit more fancy of a scanner I read.

I just read the most obdii unitsmwill read srs codes. If you just want to reset the code you might try.
How to Reset an Airbag Light
Put the key into the ignition and turn the switch to the "on" position.
Watch for the airbag light to turn on. It will stay illuminated for seven seconds and then shut itself off. After it shuts off, immediately turn the switch off and wait three seconds.
Repeat Steps 1 and 2 two more times.

No I'm trying to find what is causing the light. There's something with the way 97+ Chryslers airbag system is read. I know high dollar scanners can read this/ run tests, but it would be great to know if a lower priced option could work.
Take blue driver for example, it says it can read airbag but talking with them it won't on my year.
I've lived with the on/off light for a few years becsuse the shop cost to plug in and read where the issue is, is a bit crazy for such a simple issue. It is just as easy as a check engine light haha, oh well.
I'm guessing it's an airbag that needs replaced by now, clockspring was already done and everything works. The light is just off/on randomly, less in the cold it seems.

I have a couple of cheap dongles if you want to come to Longmont to give em a try.
